Remodels & Additions

Alpine Meadows, California

Our client contacted us to create a non-intrusive, enclosed walkway and stairwell so that they could enjoy their vacation home year-round. Prior access required crossing a snow covered yard and then shoveling the stairs up to the front door. At only five feet wide, this spectacular, glass-enclosed timber pedestrian bridge spans over forty-five feet between the garage and the home’s main living space on the second floor making the new process a joy. The bridge’s design angles once about a small grove of Aspen trees on one side and a maturing Pine which the owner desperately watned to save. Elegant timber connections, delicate structure, low-voltage lighting, and redwood floor boards makes this vacation home a retreat for any time of the year.
