Chappell & Sammis Attending Leadership Program

The North Lake Tahoe-Truckee Leadership Program creates an opportunity for potential leaders to broaden their understanding of the region and its issues, challenges and opportunities, while developing and honing their leadership skills. Since 2004, the program has graduated more than 240 individuals. These alumni are now challenging themselves, serving their employers and our community in a variety of active community-building efforts.

Each workshop is integrated with one-half of the time spent on regional issues such as health and education, planning for the future, and non-profit advocacy; and one-half on leadership skill development such as collaboration, team basics, and negotiation.

The program begins in January and ends with a May graduation.  It includes five sessions, with optional days where participants will be “out in the field” getting a close-up view of issues, how various agencies work, and the challenges facing our community.

The North Lake Tahoe-Truckee Leadership Program is a collaborative project of the three Founding Partners:  North Lake Tahoe Chamber/CVB/Resort Association, North Tahoe Business Association and Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce.  Their Education Partner is Sierra Nevada College, a private four year educational institution with campuses in Incline Village and Las Vegas, and their Fiscal Partner is the Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation.
